EPA Training

The mandate for EPA training and compliance is clear.

The regulation of hazardous waste is important to the protection of the environment and human health. The Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) delineates the personnel training requirements for generators of hazardous waste. Under this mandate, the EPA developed strict requirements for all aspects of hazardous waste management including the treatment, transportation, storage, and disposal. In addition to these federal requirements, states may develop more stringent requirements that are broader in scope than the federal regulations. If you generate, transport, treat, store, or dispose of hazardous waste you will also need to be in compliance with federal EPA regulations. The amount of hazardous waste a facility generates in a month (“generator status”) dictates the level of training required.

Our training programs will assure that you are in compliance.

Our courses will help hazardous waste generators, environmental managers, facility operators, environmental consultants, compliance specialists, environmental attorneys, and regulators understand and comply with the hazardous waste regulations. And for corporations and business entities, well-trained employees work more efficiently and in a safer manner. We can fulfill the many training requirements of the EPA. More importantly, at Advanced Environmental Solutions, we see EPA training as more than a requirement. It’s the right thing to do for your employees to protect themselves, your facility and the environment. Our core training programs address:

  • Hazardous Waste Workers and Managers: Specialized and customized HAZWOPER training ensures that they have the ability to handle wastes safely and effectively, and also to access and utilize equipment when needed.
  • Contingency Plans and Spill Response: This assures that only trained employees respond to spills, that they have the right equipment in proximity, and that they know when a situation is out of control and they need to secure outside help. We conduct exercises to prepare them to respond to different scenarios, and equally importantly, to know when to back out if the situation is beyond their capabilities and secure outside help.
